A native of Russia, Irina graduated from the Musorgsky College of Music in St.Petersburgh where
she studied folk singing.
In her desire to preserve Russian traditions she founded the children's group "The Golden Rooster" in New York
(1997)
Its programs provided audiences with an overview of russian folk music,traditions and customs.
The group has different Programs (formatted
in Russian and English) to choose from.
