The group has four programs (formatted in Russian and English) to choose from:
1. Russian Ornaments
Learn about old Russian handicrafts while enjoying a great performance of lively singing and dancing.
2. Old Wedding Rituals in Russia
Bride's Lament during the splitting of the braid, the ransom of the bride and other rituals.
3. Father Frost
A winter show based on a Russian fairytale.
4. We sing around the World
International folk songs (Jewish,Ukrain,Gypsy,American etc...)
In her desire to preserve Russian folk traditions she founded the children's folk group in New York (1997).Its program
provided audiences with an overview of Russian folk music , traditions and customs.
Handmade folk costumes make their performance educational, attractive and authentic.
The "Golden Rooster" group is available for concerts ,festivals and private functions.

Our ensemble was founded on1997 by russian folk singer and our teacher Irina Zagornova.
In the beginning it was a small group of 2 kids
Katherina Prokofieva and Diana Bruk.
Step by step more kids were coming and now we have group of 12 kids with different ages.
We learning to sing dance traditional russian jewish ukranian music usin folk instruments such as bayan,balalaika,violin,guitar
and other instruments.
It's very interesting and we invite you to join us.
We are located in Brooklyn , Bay Ridge.
