A native of Russia, Irina graduated from the Musorgsky College of Music in St.Petersburgh where she studied
folk singing.
In her desire to preserve Russian traditions she founded the children's group "The Golden Rooster" in New York (1997)
Its program provided audiences with an overview of russian folk music,traditions and customs.
The group's repertoire includes dances,musical games and folk rituals as well as the best-known Russian folk
songs.
Learn about old Russian handcrafts
while enjoying a great performance of lively singing and dancing.
